The Contest is On!

It seems to be the fashion as of late and we decided that the Newboxers list should be included!

What the heck do we mean? Well - the proliferation of patches for most of the letterboxing talk lists and regional groups. And now - the Newboxers will have one of their own.

Several weeks ago, prior to our computer problems, we floated the idea on the newbies list and the response was pretty overwhelming and positive as well. So, we decided to conduct a search - much like the one that we hosted when the LbNE list developed their logo - with a contest.

Whether you are a member of the Newboxers talk list or not, we welcome you to submit your design(s) to us via email. All designs must be in a jpeg format. We'll assemble all of those submitted and post them to a new webpage located on this blog. Then we'll open up a special poll to allow our readership to choose the design that they most like.

What's in it for the winner? Well - satisfaction! And the recognition of designing this patch as well as a free patch - along with the undying admiration of every Newboxer member and at last look - there were almost 1400 members on that talk list.

S0 - get out there and design a patch! Here's the page we've created for the entries. Check back often to see the latest! Designs may be submitted until December 1, 2006. Then a poll will be open on the same page with voting ending December 31, 2006. The design with the greatest number of votes at midnight on December 31, 2006 will be declared the winner.
